Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using IDLE (“the App”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The App
IDLE is an iOS application that generates a forensic receipt of your overnight screen time using Apple’s Screen Time API. The App is provided by Vectorate LLC (“we”, “us”).
The App stores all data locally on your device. We do not operate servers, collect personal data, or require an account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Purchase
IDLE is a one-time paid purchase ($2.99 USD) on the App Store. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no ads. The purchase is processed by Apple and subject to Apple’s Standard EULA and refund policies.
4. Screen Time Data
The App uses Apple’s FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks in read-only mode. The App does not restrict, block, or modify any apps or device behavior. It reads aggregated screen time data solely to generate your receipt.
5. Your Data
All data is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to it. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all associated data.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute or sublicense the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law
7. Health Disclaimer
IDLE is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The App tracks screen time behavior only. It does not monitor sleep quality, health metrics, or biological functions. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
8. Accuracy
Screen time data is provided by Apple’s Screen Time API. We display this data as received. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. A 2-minute tolerance buffer is applied to account for alarm dismissals and incidental usage.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices or iOS versions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vectorate LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, including loss of data.
11. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted at getidle.app/terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
